About
I was born in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. I studied philology and worked at a cinema, never imagining that photography would become part of my life, let alone a way of seeing the world.
It began during the pandemic, when I took a forgotten camera down from the top shelf and began photographing still lifes. Within the confines of home, a world of its own unfolded: fine blades of light, curious shadows, the silent stories of objects.
A few years later, I took my camera out into the streets and became fascinated by the poetry of everyday life. I found myself drawn to small, overlooked wonders: chance echoes between shapes, reflections like dreams, city walls that held the memory of passing years, the choreography of strangers passing by. In the familiar and the unremarkable, I looked for moments when reality suddenly slipped out of its usual rhythm and revealed its secret beauty.
Since then, I have been gathering scraps of light, chance rhymes, and the shadows of unknown stories. Sometimes I feel as though the city leaves them for me. Sometimes I wonder if I’m dreaming.
