Access Zone
2026
— an observation of space structured as a system of access.
Spaces designed for movement often exist in a state of pause. Flows slow down and dissolve into waiting. People occupy temporary positions, their gestures and belongings gradually forming a quiet geometry of presence.
The space appears open, yet its structure is defined by boundaries. Lines, partitions, and distances determine what is possible and what remains beyond reach. There is always a level of access that does not belong to you.
Within this environment, people preserve their own sense of closure. The camera can move closer, but it can never fully enter.
Distance becomes part of the structure.
Between what is permitted and what remains closed, an intermediate zone emerges — a space of brief presence.
Neither the beginning nor the end of a journey. A threshold.
An access zone — always partial.
